Dr. Tom Crotty BDentSc., MSc.
Tom qualified from Trinity College in 1991 and worked in general practice in the UK and Ireland until 1994, when he commenced a 2 year post in the Orthodontic Department of Waterford Regional Hospital. Tom returned to working in general practice, incorporating orthodontics with general family dentistry, before leaving to attend a full time MSc in Restorative Dentistry in Newcastle University Dental School from 1998 to 1999.
Following time spent working in private practice in London, Tom returned to Dublin and in 2002 took over the long-established Old Bawn Dental Practice. He continues to update his knowledge and skills in all areas of dentistry, achieving certification in orthodontics from the University of Warwick in 2008, and has recently completed a course in aesthetic dentistry in the Eastman Hospital, London. Tom has a great interest in orthodontics and restorative dentistry, particularly utilising short-term orthodontic techniques as a minimally invasive and conservative way to improve and create great smiles.
Dr. Fiona Crotty BDentSc, MFD RCSI
Fiona qualified from Trinity College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree. Since qualifying, she has worked in general practice in Dublin as well as a short time with the HSE. She completed a one-year senior house officer position in oral surgery and restorative dentistry in the School of Dentistry Royal Hospital Belfast. She was awarded her MFD from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2004.
Fiona is particularly interested in adult and children’s dentistry and oral surgery and has recently finished a year-long certificate in restorative dentistry. She completed training to an advanced level in facial aesthetics in the UK in 2011 and has great experience in the areas of anti-wrinkle injections and fillers.
