The importance of good oral hygiene is about more than teeth and gums.
Patients with inflammation caused by periodontitis may experience more severe COVID-19 complications, according to an article published online July 30 in the Journal of the California Dental Association.
Hello everybody, we hope you are all well. Just to let you know that we are reopening on Monday 25th May for routine dental treatment in a phased manner. We will be following and in many cases exceeding the guidance of the HSPC and dental council to keep all our patients and staff safe. If you want to make an appointment send us a message or call us on 4510092.
If you had an appointment cancelled before the shutdown we will be getting in touch over the coming days to rearrange. As appointments will be more spaced out to adhere to social distancing we would kindly ask for your patience!
For the moment the practice will remain open but we will be monitoring this in light of guidance from the dept of health.
In order to protect our staff and patients we will be reducing the number of appointments daily and would kindly ask if patients could observe the following:
Please attend the appointment on your own where possible or where necessary a maximum of one other person only to accompany the patient.
Please wash your hands thoroughly before attending and use the disinfectant hand gel on entering and leaving the practice.
We regularly disinfect all door handles, taps etc throughout the day
We shall be observing social distancing such as not shaking hands on arrival
We would ask patients or parents to inform the practice in advance if you are displaying any symptoms of cough, fever etc or have recently returned from any trip abroad.
Non essential treatment may be deferred for a week or two until more clarity on the current situation is known.
Thanks for your understanding and support and please help us all look out for each other.
